Due to an upcoming departure, we are on the hunt for a credit services officer to join our team in this fast paced role.
Voyager Internet is a leading New Zealand provider of home and business internet and communication services. Our services are used by more than 50,000 customers across New Zealand and our product portfolio includes broadband, VoIP and Cloud PBX, domain names, email hosting and cloud servers.
We’re looking for a self-motivated individual to join the finance team, based in Auckland. Reporting to the Credit Manager, you’ll work together to ensure the collection of overdue accounts.
Undertake accounts receivable reconciliations
Perform debtor operations including but not limited to; payment allocation, the collection of outstanding debts, answering incoming collections phone calls, dealing with customer queries
Assist with account audits on accounts considered to be uncollectable and the lodgment of bad debts
Communicate delinquent accounts to the Credit Manager, billing and other relevant teams as required
Manage the processing of payments of customer accounts
Bank cheques as required
Monitor payment arrangements agreed upon with customers
Conduct follow up with customers regarding outstanding / missed payments
Ensure credit control documentation is completed and filed accurately within agreed time frames
Provide assistance on debtor related queries; ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times
Respond to, and follow up on any customer enquiries as required
To be successful in the role you will need the following:
- A fantastic attitude and drive to perform administrative functions accurately and to deadlines
- First-rate professional verbal and written communication skills (customer service experience is a bonus)
- Be able to take action and have hard conversations when required
- Commitment to the Voyager values; Always do your best, Find ways to show people you care, Do the right thing
- 2 years+ experience in a credit control role (or similar)
- Minimum qualification of NCEA Level 3, or equivalent
- Strong numerical skills
- Intermediate MS Excel skills
