Yes, you do need the app to set up and manage your eero router. From your app, you not only get access to a guided set up, but it is where you also access your free eero Secure. The app allows you to customize your security, view real-time usage, and adjust settings from anywhere.
With eero, we are prioritising a great Wi-Fi experience. However, if you do need to plug devices in, the eero 6+ has 2 physical ports. One of these ports will connect to the Fibre ONT for the first eero you connect. If you have purchased additional eero's then each of those will have 2 ports you can connect additional devices to. Our eero Max 7 Router has 4 ports available. If you require more ports, please consider purchasing a network switch. We have options available at checkout.
This means that you are purchasing the eero router from Voyager on a deferred payment option. Paying it off in either 12 or 24 equal monthly payments. The total purchase price for each of our payment options is the same and the Router is yours to keep, regardless of which option you choose. If you do leave Voyager before your rent-to-own period is up though, you will need to pay the remainder of the amount owing on your final invoice from us. Read our full T&Cs here.
If you are also purchasing Voyager Voice One from us, and you want a home phone, you will need an eero-compatible handset. We have a WiFi-capable voice handset available for this purpose, $165.60 incl. GST ($6.90/month for 24 months, or $13.80/month for 12 months), available at checkout.
All eero routers come with a standard 12-month warranty from Voyager. If you experience any issues, please contact us at [email protected] and we’ll help you troubleshoot or arrange a return if needed.
One of the great benefits of eero Secure, which Voyager is providing with your purchase of an eero Router, is the ability to connect your eero network to an alternative WiFi hotspot source, e.g. your mobile phone personal hotspot. Use of this feature requires a compatible backup internet connection within range of a compatible eero device (e.g. a mobile phone personal hotspot). Voyager does not guarantee uninterrupted service, and brief network downtime may occur during failover. You are responsible for any data charges incurred through your backup internet provider and for ensuring appropriate and authorised use. Network speeds depend on the backup provider, and may vary based on coverage, uptime, technology, and other factors. If there is an outage, you will need a backup power source. Some eero features may not be compatible with eero Internet Backup.
