Recognising the David Awards Winners 2024
At Voyager, we’re proud to be the primary sponsor of the David Awards for the third consecutive year, celebrating the hard work and dedication of New Zealand businesses. Each year, it’s inspiring to see the journey of the entrants, from submissions to the announcement of the winners. Being part of this initiative lets us spotlight the finalists and their remarkable achievements, sharing their stories with you, our community. As a Kiwi-owned business ourselves, supporting other Kiwi businesses is close to our hearts, and the David Awards give us the perfect opportunity to contribute to their success.

Voyager’s Involvement
At Voyager, we believe in championing the passion, resourcefulness, and dedication that small businesses bring to their communities. We’re committed to supporting small businesses, helping them not just survive, but thrive in today’s competitive market, by delivering the technology and connectivity they need to grow. Our goal is to keep Kiwi ingenuity alive and well, giving small businesses the tools to scale and compete effectively. Dylan Pelley, our SMB Sales Team Lead said it best, stating, “Small businesses might be the underdogs, operating with fewer resources and smaller teams, but they continue to make a real impact with the products and services they offer.”
In partnering with The David Awards, we proudly continue our commitment to supporting and celebrating New Zealand’s small businesses. These businesses are the lifeblood of our economy, embodying the Kiwi spirit of hard work, innovation, and resilience. It’s been a pleasure supporting the David Awards team by building awareness through social media and email about the awards, key deadlines, and finalists. We’re also looking forward to giving the winners even greater visibility across our network as part of their prize!
Behind the Scenes - David Awards Team & Judges
Creating these awards takes an immense effort, and we’d like to recognize the dedication of the David Awards team, along with the judges (learn more here) who invest countless hours reviewing entries and making tough decisions. Since 2008, the David Awards have been made possible by a team of dedicated individuals who bring together their vast experience in business to shine a spotlight on others. Their collective efforts are the foundation of these awards, and we think it’s important to recognize the commitment that keeps this initiative thriving year after year.
Hannah Byrne, Content Marketing Executive, and Angela Hunter, Chief Revenue Officer from Voyager, were thrilled to personally thank Heather, the founder of the David Awards, along with several judges and sponsors at a celebratory lunch. They also had the pleasure of meeting Shyr Godfrey from Forty Thieves Nut Butters, the Supreme Winner and recipient of the Most Outstanding Established Business award (pictured below).
As the primary sponsor, Voyager plays a part in this process, but we also see the ongoing hard work that goes on behind the scenes. Driven by the genuine passion for supporting small Kiwi businesses of all parties involved, this non-profit initiative is a true labour of love. We’re grateful for the time, effort, and resources devoted to uplifting the kiwi business community, and we’re so excited to have been a part of it again this year.
What’s Next
At Voyager, we’re excited to keep celebrating the winners on our website, emails and socials, sharing their stories, and exclusive offers from these exceptional businesses. Meanwhile, the David Awards team is already gearing up for next year, with small businesses across the country continuing to make a big impact that deserve to be recognised. With more outstanding entries on the horizon, the judges and the team are as committed as ever to shining a spotlight on these inspiring ventures. Voyager is proud to support this initiative once again for 2025, and we look forward to seeing new stories of Kiwi businesses making their mark in Aotearoa.
