We rolled out the blue carpet again this year for the 2019 Voyager Media Awards! New Zealand’s media elite gathered in Auckland on May 17th to celebrate excellence in kiwi journalism, and Voyager was proud to sponsor the event for the second year in a row.
Amongst the glitz and the glam, New Zealand’s best journalists, photographers, videographers, writers, reviewers, artists, and cartoonists were honoured for their contributions to journalism. See the winners and their work here.
Voyager CEO Seeby Woodhouse delivered the opening speech, touching on the timely topic of finding a balance between free speech and harmful content in the digital age. Check out his speech and the awards recap below – and take note of the snazzy flashing blue bow ties that made him and the rest of the Voyager team easy to spot!
