When can I get fibre broadband at my property?
While Ultra-Fast Broadband was originally made available in only a select few cities around New Zealand, the nationwide rollout has now been completed and covers around 90% of Kiwi households and businesses across the country - including a total of 412 towns and cities.
This means that almost all New Zealanders can get Fibre broadband at their property right now.
Not sure if you can get fibre yet? Just pop your address into the broadband address checker and you’ll get the answer right away.

When is Fibre coming to your area?
According to the schedule from the Government’s Crown Infrastructure Partners website that lists all the cities and towns around New Zealand, and their UFB Fibre rollout progress, the rollout of UFB was completed in 2022.
As mentioned above, that means that the vast majority, around 90% of Kiwis, can connect to the Fibre network.
What if Fibre is not available where you are?
Some rural areas around the country have been designated as being out side the UFB network, where the cost of getting the fibre network installed was deemed too high.
You can use our broadband address checker and see what the best option we can provide you is - for instance you may still be able to get ADSL or the faster VDSL service even if Fibre is not an option where you are.
If we cannot provide any such service to your address, then you may want to look at getting a Satellite service, which while more expensive, does provide coverage nationwide.
